Daddy day, football game, and fall fun

We're well overdue for an update, so I figured I catch up a few things with a very long post.

Last week while Anjee was in New York for work, Xander and I had a daddy day.  We started off with some time at Governor Nelson State Park before meeting up with my old coworkers for lunch.

Lunch was pretty tiring, so X got a good nap in while in the car...

Before an afternoon at the zoo.

A comfy seat is key when enjoying some PBS Kids cartoons.

Channeling Coraline.

On Saturday we went on our annual pumpkin trip out to Heck's with a stop at Pecks to see the animals and go through the corn maze. Xander was really into sitting on pumpkins.

Sunday we went to Lindsay and Pete's to watch the Packer game.  Xander go to see one of his ladies, Riley, as well.  They both cuddled up with Pete for a little story time.

Finally, we went back to Governor Nelson State Park last night so Lizzie could have some senior pictures taken.  Xander was loving playing in the leaves, which made for some of my favorite pictures ever, especially the last one.

I love this kid so much.

Fiberglass Graveyard

After we left the northern part of WI for Mike and Mandy's wedding, we stopped in Sparta to see this "fiberglass graveyard" Tim heard about. Since we were in the neighborhood, we HAD to see that. It was well worth the stop. There were mostly molds but there were also some completed sculptures. All-in-all it was a pretty creepy. And awesome. And creepy.

We stopped at DQ on the way home and X got his very first solo ice cream cone. I'd say he was in love. That, and our outside table was facing the busy driveway which kept X very happy watching all the cars coming and going. A good end to the weekend!

Vilas Zoo with Friends

A few weeks ago X and I met up with Aly, Roger and Petra at the zoo. It was a perfect day outside (one of the last of the year) and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Inside the huge kangaroo.

The meerkats were being super cute. So were the boys.

On the tractor.

On the zoo train.

The big ape was being especially playful that day. The boys went nuts for it!

Stroller fun.

On the bench before saying goodbye.

A great day!
