Four month doc visit and funny time with momma

Xander had his four month visit today and everything is good!!!  Still about 70th percentile for height and weight and a whopping 100th for head size!  Kid definitely got his daddy's noggin. He is up to 17lb 5oz and 26 inches!  Growing like an absolute weed. He also got his next round of shots today. :( Momma stopped and got a flu shot in solidarity. Yay.

Ticklish!

Yesterday Tim and I discovered that the Xman was ticklish under his arms. It's an amazing feeling to be able to make him giggle on command!  We promise not to abuse this gift though, lest he become angry instead of delighted. I tried to get a pic of this but it's hard to capture as giggling often equals movement. 

It's making getting in and out of his pjs a very enjoyable experience. He giggles every time you pull a sleeve off!  He is also constantly trying to grab his feet which makes diaper changes interesting.  

Yesterday was the first time hanging out in the front yard. It's funny, we go for walks almost every day but for some reason it never occurred to me to grab a blanket and hang in the front yard. Derp. He got to meet another neighbor who didn't even know he existed until two days ago. I find this disturbing. I honestly wonder if anyone notices anything anymore.  :-/

4 months!!!

The Xman turned 4 months old today! Where does the time go?!? We didn't get a chance to get his proper 4 month pic but we will get that tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some other miscellaneous photos from this week:

Riot Fest Weekend

Timmy and I got to go to Riot Fest this weekend in Chicago while Grandma SuAnn and Auntie Trisha hung out with Xander. We probably could have brought him to the park with us for his first festival but we thought he might be a bit young yet at nearly 4 months. (Technically, Xander was at RF last year. We found out we were pregnant with him the night we got home!) Still, we are so glad we were able to travel with him even if he didn't come to the park with us.

It was such a great weekend. Pumping at the park was kinda tough and the Sunday rain was... wet... but it was worth it. So many great bands, so little time! Special and HUGE thanks to gma and auntie for watching our little man so we could have some "us" time. 

Crib pictures and other things

Our little guy is now sleeping in his crib every night. He moves around a lot but seems to stay asleep really well. Probably because he's not hearing us moving around! Needless to say, we are ALL sleeping better.  

The monitor we have allows us to snap pics of him which is pretty cool. He moved himself into this position yesterday morning. 

When Tim checked on him, his little arm was going through the bars. :(  I immediately went on Amazon and bought mesh bumpers so he wouldn't get trapped and hurt himself. After he moved him, he still slept like that- head to the side, booty in the air. 

It was pretty hilarious. Then he woke up!
