Powerwheels, Parks and Petting Zoos

X is learning and growing SO FAST. Just the other night I asked what book he wanted to read and he pulled Brown Bear off the shelf and actually said "Brown Bear". He still chatters a lot but his words get clearer all the time. He's figuring out certain toys too, like the Powerwheels, and things we wish he wouldn't just yet like faucets, gates, door handles...

He's also fairly obsessed with cars. His official first word was car and it's still his favorite. After picking him up at daycare several times with matchbox cars in each hand, I bought him a cheap bucket full of Hotwheels off Craigslist. Now it's all he wants to play with.

Grandmama helping with the powerwheels.

Tim and I are reliving our highschool wardrobes through X.

More of a big boy everyday. Watching The Lorax in his chair.

Yogurt = Messy, delicious fun.

Bubbles!!! I'm calling it. The bubble gun is one of the greatest inventions of all time.

Another week, another petting zoo! We spent the Fourth at Pecks checking out the deer farm. X is getting pretty used to feeding animals at this point (when he's not attempting to eat the corn/feed himself).

A hay ride! (Blessedly hay-free)

Laughing at ducks.

He almost never smiles in our family pics. What's that all about?

No trip to Pecks is complete without a stop at CoJack Cheese.

Me and the boy.

Some park pics from this week. We discovered a new one the other day about eight blocks away. I found it sad that it was completely empty on a beautiful summer day. More room for us I guess!

Who's awesome? You are!
