Girl and Goose Egg

Yesterday Xander got his first goose egg. It was a horrifying moment for Tim and I as we watched the little guy fling himself off the side of our bed onto the hard laminate flooring, all while we were laying inches away him. It happened so fast but I can so clearly picture it in my mind- in SLOOOOW motion. I've never felt so helpless, guilty and afraid in my life. We called the nurse-on-call and she said that even though he was acting fine (after crying, of course), we should bring him in because of how young he is. Luckily they had an opening in Peds within an hour. The doctor cleared him and told us to chalk it up as a learning experience. Yeah, I'll say. That was terrifying. :(

After leaving the clinic, we headed to The Dolezaleks for the game. It was a baby parade!!!  Quinn has his 8m baby, Theodore, we had Xander of course, Lindsay and Pete brought 4m old Rylee, Michelle had her 18m old son, Jim and Trisha brought baby James who is a few months past a year. It was crazy! We meant to get pics of all of them together but never got around to it before the round-robin of afternoon napping began. We did, however, get these hilarious shots of Xander and Rylee making out.

If you look close on the last pic, you can see little man's forehead bruise. I think he felt better though since Rylee chose him over all the other boys. ;)

What a day of firsts! First injury, first girly. At least he found balance.
