Family-Style Weekend

We had a great family weekend starting with an all-star Saturday.

My friend Maggie and her boyfriend Chuck bought a gallery in Cross Plains. They had their big opening on Saturday so we stopped by to celebrate.

I also got to see my old friend Brian who I haven't seen in nearly 20 years. It was awesome. I miss that guy!

While we were in CP, we stopped at the Hamstras for a quick hello.

On their sweet swing set.

We also hit up some of the dozens of garage sales happening in CP last weekend. We hit the jackpot on clothes and toys. Sit-and-Spin for $2, an entire box of Mega Blocs with tracks and cars for $5... We are set for his bday party! Then, after we left CP, we headed towards Pardeeville where we caught up with Tina at her new shop. So many friends opening new businesses. It's very exciting!

Here's Dite-dog enjoying the SnS.

Sunday morning we spent walking to the Northside Farmers Market and Jim's Meat Market for steaks. X and I hung out in the front yard and pulled dead stuff out of the garden before grandmama Sandi came over with Lizzy. They took a walk down to that park with X while Timmy and I did some chores. Then we made dinner with the fresh lettuce from the farmers market and steaks. Yum!

All-in-all it was a great, and much needed, family weekend! :)

A conversation with Xander.

Eggs and spinach were on the menu yesterday morning. He took my fork and managed to stab food and get it into his mouth. Impressive!

Eating oatmeal for breakfast this morning.

Figuring it all out.

Spent some time out on the deck this morning. So nice to have usable space out there. It was crappy for so long but now that it's carpeted and has decent furniture, it's rather pleasant.

Some insane cuteness this afternoon
