Toddling

Our little dude has suddenly become a toddler on us! He's walking very proficiently and is starting to show us that he knows words. He says uh-oh when he drops stuff and can point to stuff when prompted like "monkey", "puppy" and "truck". Guess I'd better stop dropping swears!

He's eating more and more solids though I think he still prefers to nurse. Nursing is becoming more interesting lately as he squirms, kicks, punches, pinches and bites when the mood strikes. I don't think he's intentionally trying to abuse me. He's just so action-oriented these days it's hard for him to settle down. That said, our nursing days may be numbered.

Speaking of biting, he's got a full eight teeth in (four front top and bottom) and has a molar breaking through. Well, its tip has been broken through for weeks but hasn't progressed beyond that yet. Rather frustrating as it irritates him sometimes.

He is sleeping MUCH better these days. He has occasional bad nights but at least four of the last seven days he's slept a solid eight-hour span. We are hoping this is a trend that's here to stay.

My little cheesehead.

Truck!

Where'd it go?

Watching tv with daddy.

He sometimes picks up the toy auntie Trisha bought him, giggles maniacally and walks around with it.

X is helping me with the crossword.

Yum!

Tim took this pic the other day at Chilis. I can't believe how old he looks and how much he looks like my dad here.

He loves the ball grandma Sandi brought him from Ireland.

Putting stuff in other stuff is his main activity lately. He especially loves to put items in his Seuss plate or bowl and walk around with them.

This includes fitting the straw back in the cup- which he actually did successfully several times.

Goofy faces while eating.

He's been "reading" a lot of books lately.

One of my favorite series of photos.
